Dear all,
I would like to remind all members of the IAI, that there will be an AGM an January 2008. No date has been fixed yet. We will send out invitations soon. Please send any agenda items or topics that you would like to discuss to Nick or post them here.
Please also make suggestions on the venue and times that would suit, either per mail or in this forum.

IAI Annual General Meeting
Dear All,
Next Monday is 28th, the day of planned Annual General Meeting.
So, will we have the Meeting or just usual training? Is the time 8;30 pm or other agreed?
Would be really great to know this in advance.
Best Regards,
Elena
IAI General Seminar
Dear All,
If I have understood correctly, for upgrading we should visit the upgrading seminar in UK or Japan or Visiting Senior Instructors should be invited to our Dojo. Thus I would like to know the preliminary time schedule of such events for possible upgrading in ZNKR Seitei Gata next year and do not miss the seminar training given by invited Sensei in Ireland or UK.
I would like also to discuss so called theoretical part of the examination since I guess that it might differ from those I had in Japan. Thus it would be great to get the advice about the source of information for exams and just for further selfeducation, I mean books, DVD etc.
Thanks!
Elena
Just as a general comment
Just as a general comment which is actually slightly off topic... Gradings are up to the disgression of the teacher because he or she recommends his/her student for grading. This is the rule I personally follow and I know that others like Nick are the same. If you are attending seminars outside our disgression, you can ask your teacher there how he is going about gradings.
Theoretical part of the grading is sometimes done, sometimes not, depending on the main examiniers opinion. All questions should be answerable on this level for a student of his style. We can recommend some books for further study.
I will add schedules and seminars to the agenda!
Thanks,
Björn
