Saturday training question
Hello All,
I actually stopped soming to the dojo for trainings for a month right now - i dont have a time, unfortunately,
but, i might be able to come down to bray @ saturdays - and the question is:
is it valid for MJER instead of Seitei ? Is there anyone doing MJER there ?
If not, it migh not be a good idea as bad habits might develop during training session without an expert.
Im actually wondering, maybe Nick would like to come as well ? he actually used to guide me, is anyone in possesion of his mobile no. ?
I do have Nicks number so,
I do have Nicks number so, send me a mail to bofehr(at)gmail.com and him to give you a call, when you will send on your no. But I know that Nick is looking to setup another training session. We are considering some options.
Any training is good, thats right, but there is a lot of confusion that you will get at the beginning doing MJER and Setei, I think.
I hope to be able to get more oppertunities for Iaido up and running. If anybody knows a venue, please let us know.

Any training is better than
Any training is better than nothing! As you go through your training you will realise that there are many differences between the various level within MJER. You develop a mental switch that enables you to move from one level to the next, changing the noto, etc. So training in Seitei is exactly the same. Just don't go down the road that so many other's went down in the 1980's of believing that Koryu should be done in the same way as Seitei. It's a bit like having a load of jig-saw puzzles, you keep them in separate boxes so that all the relavent pieces fit together to make a picture, mix them up and you can make nothing. So too with each Ryu-ha, and by learning different systems you will enhance your personal training.
