Dojos in Ireland
Martial Arts Academy, Dublin – website of the dojo where the IAI has it's Honbu Dojo.
Roshukai Ireland – A nice site from a Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu group in Northern Ireland.
Dublin Kendo Club – Nice up-to-date site with lots of news and good photo gallery.
Dojos in the UK
Kenseikai East London – website for the dojo founded by Fujii Sensei, with details of their teachers and brief histories of kendo, iaido and jodo.
Shin Ichi Do – website for the dojo of Dave Ansell, one of the most senior Iaido instructors in Europe for the DNBK.
Masamune Dojo, Birmingham – website of the dojo run by Fay Goodman.
North London Budo - website of Chris Samuel.
Seishin Dojo - The Sussex Dojo of Bruce Scrivens, 6th Dan Renshi Iaido and senior student of Dave Ansell.
Organisations
Dai Nippon Butoku Kai – website for the DNBK, one of the oldest martial arts organisations in Japan, dedicated to the preservation of classical martial arts tradition.
The British Kendo Association News – Has a directory of all UK Kendo, Iaido and Jodo dojos, up-to-date news and details of forthcoming seminars and events.
Canadian Iaido Association - website for Iaido in Canada.
Kendo na h-Éireann – The national governing body in Ireland for Kendo, Kendo na h-Éireann is a member organisation of both the European Kendo Federation and the International Kendo Federation.
Other useful links
Elite International – Offers a wide range of services. Includes Iaido, Kendo, Jodo, Ghoshin Jutsu, Ryukyu Kobudo, Tanjo and self-defence. Has a nice range of books and videos for sale.
Kampai Budokai – Loads of excellent info on this very up-to-date site – has photo-illustrated descriptions of the two new ZNKR (Seitei) katas. There’s also some really good advice for people considering buying an iaito.
New York Budokai – Another excellent site. The NY Budokai practice Muso Shinden Ryu Iaido, tameshigiri and other interesting forms.
Sei Do Kai, Guelph, Canada – It will take you ages to get around this, the mother of all Iaido Websites, and home of The Iaido Journal.
Yushinkan Dojo, Netherlands – A very nice Shinkage Ryu site – well worth a visit.
Sanbokyodan - Shinkage Ryu dojo in France. They have two versions of their website, one in English and one in French.
Equipment suppliers
Ninecircles – A good range of quality products in the UK
Bugei Trading Company. – Very good site with online catalogue with an extensive range of products.
Swordstore.com – magnificent custom-made iaito, quality clothing, good service and good prices (they vary with exchange rates, though, so check before ordering).
Meirin Sangyo Co Ltd – A good range of nice iaito and other equipment.
Tozando – One of the most reputable suppliers of Iaido, Kendo and martial arts equipment, this fine online catalogue has just about everything you’ll need.
