Today the Iaido Association of Ireland held the Annual General Meeting 2009. The following was discussed and decided:

1. Election of Officers:

Björn Fehr was re-elected for President of the IAI.

It was decided that no other officers would be elected due to the small amount of administration work. The President will assume all work related with the offices of the Secretary and the Treasuerer for 2009. This will be reviewed in 2010.

2. Members Register Update
All members present have been asked to review their contact details and the Members Register was updated.

3. Membership Fees
It was agreed that the Membership fees will remain the same as 2008. Ordinary Membership will be EUR 40.00, Student Membership will be EUR 20.00, Associate Membership will be EUR 10.00. The student membership fee can also be applied to people in difficult monetary situation. This is at the discretion of each instructor.

4. Membership Certificates
All Members present have recieved their Membership Certificates. Members not present are asked to pay their membership fee to their instructor who will forward the name and the money to the President. The President will issue the Certificate and send all new Certificates to the instructor who are asked to hand out the Certficates.

5. Dojos, Venues and Training Times
The Venues and Training Times were updated. Masamune Ireland Dojo is training currently only Sunday, 12.00am.

The organisation is very happy to announce that a new Iaido group has joined the Association. It is also the first non-Dublin based group as the club is based in Killkenny. Kevin Shortall is the Dojo Head. Information on this new Dojo as well as venues and training times will be posted on the website as soon as available. The IAI would like to extent its full-heartly welcome to the new group and its people.

6. Constitution Ammendment
The Constitution of the IAI was ammended as per the suggestion of Björn presenting a more detailed constitution.

The AGM started at 11.30am and finished at 12.15am.
